I know that there are some seriously evil lands in Legacy and Modern (Dark Depths, Wasteland, Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, Celestial Colonnade, Eldrazi Temple and, of course, Tron), but youre losing card advantage while also giving your opponent a free rainbow land
A few turns into a commander game this guy just states that hes swinging for lethal with nothing on his board and in the same breath throws his playmat off the table to reveal 20+ cheatyfaces he had his underneath his playmat while no one was looking you can only cheat cheatyface into play from your hand though, and you cant play more than 1 in EDH Thats not how cheatyface works
The options are pretty endless but things like The Jolly Balloon Man can get really spicy when you can just double tap your ability for huge value
the engine often isn't
Lastly, they come into play tapped, which is a significant enough cost to prevent you from running only surveil lands and tends to reward decks that develop at a more casual pace in my experience
