Wendy repurposes granite core samples of the Canadian Shield (i. e. stone that has been drilled from deep in the earth by mining companies). She cuts thin slices on a diamond saw to reveal the unique mineral face of each piece. She then wraps the piece with sterling silver wire and paints on trees and a bird with black ink. Finally, the entire piece is sealed
