Each bowl has an oval boat shape with a fluted body, pierced quatrefoil cutouts along the upper walls and lower sides, a beaded rim, and four curved legs terminating in paw feet with scrolled knees. The undersides are stamped "Black, Starr & Frost" with an eagle hallmark, "Sterling," and the pattern number 4884. Both bowls are in structurally sound condition
