Jacob's Snout Size:M25 A bittersweet Welsh cider appleA Welsh bittersweet cider apple. When ripe, a yellow green on one side, orange fleck with red streaks on the other. Blossom white with some pink. Bittersweet and dry with thick skin. Found growing in Angidy Valley, Monmouthshire. The Jacob's family moved onto the land in the 1960s and this tree was found there, thought to be around 30 years old. A local forester told them it was referred to locally as 'Sheep's Snout' due to its elongated shape.
