Wegner PP66 Chinese Chair *2020chsnewproductsimages The Oku table top isAt the Cabinetmakers' Guild's Autumn Exhibition in 1943, Wegner presented his first version of a chair inspired by an old Chinese chair, which he had seen at the Danish Museum of Industrial Arts. Since then, more versions have appeared. The prototype for PP 56 was developed in cooperation with PP Mbler, and went into production in 1989. The Chinese Chair became a cornerstone for Wegner in his early line of designs inspired by foreign cultures.
