Personally, I love how this Izzet commander plays into itself: As you cast more spells, the harder-to-cast spells become easier to cast, generating more experience counters and making the even more expensive spells easier to cast
But thats okay: Many of the best Magic cards were mistakes (see: Skullclamp)
